John Henry Tabor, 72, of Rt. 1, Owens Cross Roads, died Sunday at Huntsville Hospital.
A funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Oak Bowery Methodist Church with the Rev. Neal Goss and the Rev. Roy Stone officiating. Burial was to follow in Moon Cemetery with Blythe Funeral Home of New Hope directing. The body will be at the Blythe Funeral Home in New Hope until one hour prior to the services, then it will lie in state at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Tabor; a son, John Ferrell Tabor of Owens Cross Roads; two brothers, Joe Ben Tabor of Owens Cross Roads and Howard Tabor of Pulaski, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Mae Rice of New Hope; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one son, James Reubin (Jim) Tabor, (1916-1953), buried in Beason Cemetery, Madison Co, AL.
