Mrs. Carol Dean Zachary Cross Gilpatrick, age 80, of Livingston passed from this life on Friday evening, April 10, 2020 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Allons, Tennessee on January 21, 1940 to the late Walter Alexander & Honor Magdalene Maynord Zachary.
Carol was a 1958 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Allons Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at Livingston Academy for many years. Carol enjoyed working in her flower beds, Lanthimos and Peony flowers were her favorite. The sun rose and set on her great-grandson, Miles Thomas.
Carol leaves behind her husband of 34 years, Kenny Gilpatrick of Livingston, TN; son, Mark Cross & wife Charlotte of Cookeville, TN; daughter, Renee Thomas & husband Doug of Livingston, TN; grandchildren, Maggie Bullock & husband Matt of Livingston, TN, and Trey Thomas & wife Amanda of Livingston, TN; great-grandson, Miles Thomas; sisters, Bernell White of Celina, TN, June Ellis of Gallatin, TN, and Janice Kirby of Allons, TN.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, William Albert Cross; sisters, Betty Young, and Anna Hall; brothers, James Zachary, and Bill Zachary.
Graveside Services were conducted Monday, April 13, 2020 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Thurman Seber officiating.
