LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Betty Ruth Young, 60, of Monroe, were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 13, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Martin Cemetery.
Mrs. Young died on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1938, in Overton County to Magdalene Maynord Zachary of Allons and the late Walter A. Zachary. Mrs. Young was a teacher's aide with the Overton County school system. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, her family also includes her husband, Terry Lee Young of Monroe; a son, Tim Young of Monroe; five sisters, Bernell White of Celina, Carol Gilpatrick, Anna Faye Hall and Janice Kirby, all of Allons, and June Ellis of Gainesboro.
Revs. Ron Harris, Dewitt Sampley, and Perry Clayton officiated at the services.
