Mayme Ackerman, 71, a native of Kansas and a resident of Santa Cruz county since 1941, died yesterday in a local rest home. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen B. Weir of Chicago.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in White's chapel with Dr. Paul S. Kurtz, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be Monday in the Pajaro Valley Memorial park in Watsonville.
