Mary (Severns)Emfield-Dildine-Scott married Humphrey Emfield in 1849 in Coshocton Co., he died in 1856. She had two children by this marriage: George Humphrey Emfield (1850) & Mary Jane Emfield (1856). Mary married again in 1858, this time to a Harmon Dildine in Franklin County who died in 1859 (he was 71 at the time and no children were born to this union).
In 1865 she married William W. Scott in Hardin Co. and they had one daughter, Iva M. Scott (1870). Mary lived with her daughter in her later years, until 1908 when she was put in the Hardin County Infirmary, where she lived out her final two years, passing away on 2 Nov 1910. She was listed on her death record as "Marie" Scott.

Mrs. Mary Scott a respected and well-known lady of Lynn Township died last evening at 12 o'clock at the venerable age of 81 years. Death came after an illness of long duration. Deceased is survived by one son and two daughters. Funeral services will be held at home of daughter, Mrs. S. H. Dulin Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Rev. Kinnear will officiate. Interment will be made in the Norman Cemetery.
