In Memory of Wynne Peyton, Esqr Formerly President of the Medical Board at Madras; Who Died at Goldingtons in This Parish, the 10th October 1848, Aged 84 Years.
East of the north transept is the vault of Mr. Wynne Peyton, with an inscription as in the church.

DEATHS. On Tuesday last, the 10th inst., at his family seat, Goldingtons, Herts, England, at a very advanced age, Wynne Peyton, Esq., for many years on the Medical ?Buff? of the Honourable East India Company's Service, deeply regretted by his numerous family and friends; and lately at sea, on his passage home from India to this country, of fever, his grand-nephew, Wynne Peyton, Esq., Lieutenant same service, aged twenty-four years.
