Elroy H. Vogel, 77, of Elkhart Lake Entered into Eternal Life on Saturday afternoon June 23, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 8, 1929 in the Town of Schleswig, son of the late Arno & Hattie (Schmitt) Vogel. Elroy was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War from 1950 until 1952. On April 24, 1954 he married the former Rosalie Wiltzius at St. Peter's UCC in Kiel. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2004. Elroy was a dedicated employee of the Kohler Company for more than 41 years until his retirement in February of 1992. He was a member of the Kiel VFW Post 6707, the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Elroy was a true sportsman. He was a member of the Brothertown Fishing Club, the Fisherman's Road Fishing Club on Lake Winnebago. And was a lifetime member of the Kiel Fish and Game. Elroy enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved fishing, hunting with his dogs, gardening, Playing skat and Sheepshead. He was also an active member of the Plymouth Senior Center were he enjoyed playing Bingo, Cards and Socializing. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Rosalie, Four Daughters; Marlene (Dean) Draeger of Appleton, Eileen (Mike) Woiak, Mary (Cliff) Eldridge both of Sheboygan, and Cheryl (Larry) Reilly of Plymouth. Four Grandchildren; Jason (Adrienne) Eldridge of St. Paul MN, Lisa (Fred) Fritchen of Sheboygan, Cassandra and Nicole Reilly of Plymouth. Elroy is further survived by Five Sisters; Mabel (Al) Lenz, Ellen (Norman) Lehrke, Betty Niemuth, Elvira (Clarence) Richter, Judy (Keith) Hassinger, Two Brothers; Vernon (Agnes) Vogel, Donald (Elaine) Vogel, Sisters-in-law; Betty Jane Vogel and Loretta Vogel. Elroy was preceded in death by 2 Sisters; Lucinda Happel and Elaine Lisowe Three Brothers; Rueben, Arlen and Frederick Vogel.
Entombment in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum.
