Harold Lee Adams, 56, of Coalwood, died Saturday evening at a Welch hospital after a short illness.
Born Dec. 8, 1924, at Coalwood, he was a son of the late Jesse Adams and Ida Richardson Adams.
He had been a resident of Coalwood for the past 28 years and was employed at the Olga Coal Co. He was a member of Local UMWA 6026. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Adams.
He is survived by his wife, June Bailey Adams of Coalwood; one son, Rodney Harold Adams of Coalwood; one daughter, Miss Debra Kay Murray of Coalwood; one brother, Jay Adams of Jacksonville, Fla; two sisters, Mrs. John (Jessie) Fly of Welch and Mrs. Bernice Snow of Roderfield; three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesdsay at 11 am at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with Rev. Alvin Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
