Arcadia – Graveside services will be held for Johnnie Mae Lear, age 96, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Hurricane Cemetery. Bro. Bob Jameson will officiate.

Johnnie was born March 10, 1924 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana to Joe and Beatrice Fincher Chandler. She entered into rest on Thursday, April 23, 2020, in Arcadia, Louisiana. Johnnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia. Johnnie was a great cook, had a green thumb, and loved her flowers. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Johnnie will be missed by all those that knew her.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Beatrice Chandler, husband John Lear, son DeLane Lear, grandson Timothy Ganey, siblings Cloye Woodard, Doris Keen, Ruby Abercrombie, Gloria Johnson, Ardis Chandler, half sibling Gaylon Chandler and step sister Dorothy Dance.

She is survived by her daughter Lawanda Turner and husband Rick, granddaughters Tammy Heldebrandt and Teresa Lear, grandson Jamie Lear, sister Peggy Hamel and husband Bill, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family.
