Larry R. Ambrose

Larry R. Ambrose, 48, of 6056 Molly Pitcher Highway South, died at 5:30 am Monday, December 9, 1991 in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Oct. 1st, 1943 in Berkeley Springs, WV, he was the son of Bernard R. and Olive O. Unger Ambrose, Berkeley Springs.

An optician, he formerly worked for Martin Optical for 10 years. He had worked for a short time as a pressing mechanic for Stanley Co., retiring in 1978 due to poor health.

He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marion, and a social member of AMVETS Post 224 of Chambersburg.

Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife Terryl L. Seiders Ambrose; a daughter, Tammie (Mrs. William) Myers of Julian; a son, Michael R., at home; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Iris Jean Taylor of Waynesboro, and Linda ( Mrs. Joe) Jackson, of Richmond, VA.

Services will be at 2 pm Thursday in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Edward A. Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
