Loretta Dworak passed away on Feb. 2, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center.

Loretta was born on Nov. 7, 1928, to Emil and Verna Johnsen of Denmark, Wis. She graduated from Denmark High School and married Florian Dworak in 1948. The farmed west of Rockwood and raised five children. Cooking, gardening, bowling and family were Loretta’s interests before her affliction with osteoporosis, which limited her activities. Loretta was a member of Rockwood Evangelical Lutheran church and had been active at Pinecrest Historical Village.

Surviving Loretta is her husband of 61 years, Florian, currently residing at Harmony Assisted Living in Manitowoc; four sons: Paul of Crivitz, Roger and Mark (Amy) of Manitowoc, Bryan (Robin) of Cedarburg; and daughter: Kathy Kripps (Larry) of Seattle, Wash. Also surviving are her brothers: Claude (Bette), Quentin, and Ralph Johnsen; and 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her sister: “Bunny: Vandenbusch; and her daughter-in-law: Linda Dworak.

A private family service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church, the Rev. Burgess Huehn officiating. Entombment will be at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Rockwood Lutheran Church, 5805 County Road R, Manitowoc, WI 54220

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Dworak family with funeral arrangements.
