Major League Baseball Player. Clary was a player for 6 years. He made his debut with the Washington Senators on June 7, 1942 as an infielder. He was traded in 1943 to the St. Louis Browns as a reserve player. He was a member of St. Louis' only American League championship team, the 1944 Browns. He began to struggle with his game so Clary was sent down to the minor league Toledo Mud Hens in 1946. After his playing career was over, he became a coach for the Senators for six seasons (1955–60). After that he became a scout for the Twins for 24 years. He later became a special assignment scout for the Chicago White Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays.
