Gerald Barragan died May 5, 2020 at Hospital Galveston he was 62 years old. Barragan suffered from a number of pre-existing medical conditions. He was transported from the Terrell Unit to Hospital Galveston on April 26th suffering from possible COVID-19 symptoms. Barragan has served 11 months of a sentence out of Kendall County. Barragan’s family declined an autopsy but the presumed cause of death is COVID-19 pneumonia.
