Funeral services for Elmer G. Priegnitz, 75, of New York, N.Y., a native of Two Rivers and overseas veteran of both World War I and World War II, who died Monday night at the Veterns Administration Hospital in New York, will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Deja & Martin Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 9 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. A firing squad of the Eleven Gold Star, Post 1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars will participate in the service at Forest View Cemetery.

Mr. Priegnitz was born Aug. 31, 1896, son of William and Frances Grimm Priegnitz. He attended Two Rivers public schools and was graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1916.

In World War II he was in the army, serving as a cook. He was a longtime salesman in office machines in New York City. He married Dorothy Hulick in 1919 at Norfolk, Va. She preceded him in death in 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Arnold DeKok, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Val Parks, of New Hyde, N.Y.; two sons, Edward, a chief master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force at Universal City, Texas, and Elmer G. Priegnitz Jr., of Lemon Grove, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mark Klein, of Two Rivers and nine grandchildren. A son, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation.
