Inscription

Beneath this stone are interred
in the joyful hope of a blessed resurrection,
the mortal remains of LUCY KENT,
of Hoxne, in the county of Suffolk,
Who was suddenly cut off by small pox
the 8th day of January, 1836,
in the 21st year of her age.
"Watch ye, therefore, for ye know not
when the Master of the House cometh;
at Even, or at Midnight, or at the Cock-crowing,
or in the Morning."
Also EDWARD KENT,
Brother of the above,
Who died with the same disease,
July 6th, 1838, in the 27 year of his age.
