Andrew “Andy” Pedneau passed from this life into the portals of Glory on Sunday, May24, 2020 in his residence. Andy, as he was affectionately known to everyone was born to the union of Alfred and Ada Loudon Pedneau on May 3, 1972 in Corpus Christi Texas. If you knew anything about Andrew you knew that he loved the Lord, loved Christian music, and he loved to help people. He had a heart of gold and would do anything he could to help someone in need. He was a mental health professional by trade, but if you had any dealings with him you would know it was more of a calling than a job for him.

Andrew was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church of Pineville where he served as a deacon, “The Sound Man”, and also served with the children and youth ministries. You would find Andrew most often in the kitchen doing what he loved, and that was cooking for the children and the youth of the church. He also loved and enjoyed mission work. He only had the chance to visit Malawi, Africa on one occasion but part of his heart was always with his brothers and sisters there. He was a mason and past member of Solomon Lodge 221 of Pineville and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Amy Hughart Pedneau of Jena, Louisiana, one brother Alfred Pedneau of Pineville, Louisiana, one sister Adrianne Pedneau of Pineville, Louisiana, mother-in-law Sybil Hughart, who loved him like her own son, of Jena, Louisiana, brother-in-law Chris Hughart and wife Amy of Jena, Louisiana, his nmiece and nephew Cara and Carson Hughart of Jena, Louisiana. Also, his “Adopted” parents Rev. Ron and Kathy Nation of Dry Prong, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Ada May Loudon Pedneau.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena from 6PM until 9PM. Services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in the chapel of the funeral home at 11AM with Rev. Ron Nation and Matt Mallette officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery of Jena, Louisiana.
