Doug "Pokey" Withrow, 50, of Charleston passed away August 18, 2007, after a short illness.

He was self-employed most of his life, having worked last at C&H Taxi Company.

He was preceded in death by his father, John "Pokey" Withrow; mother, Elizabeth Joyce Rhodes Withrow Skyles; brother, John Greg Withrow and daughter, Crissie Dawn Withrow Mike.

He is survived by sisters, Sherry Clendenin of Charleston, Brenda DeWine of Cleveland, Ohio, and Darlene Sharp and Tina Parker, both of Charleston; brothers, Larry Withrow of Charleston and James Hoover of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; grandchildren, Mark Mike and Sheree Withrow, both of Charleston, and Aaron Mike of Fairmont; and ex-wife and good friend, Cathy Withrow of Charleston.

Graveside services and burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating.
