Lived in Price, Utah. Beloved son of Doyle and Golda Kimber; His sisters are Brenda Glover & Melinda Mayberry; His brothers are Steve Kimber, Scott Kimber and Kevin (& Shannon) Kimber; Brandon has one daughter Bryton and twin sons Paxton and Peyton.

Raised in Moab. Excelled in sports, even considered professional & teaching golf at one time. Hobbies: motorcycles, bowling and watching movies.

Died drilling a tunnel to rescue six men trapped in the Crandall Canyon Mine, near Huntington, Utah, in Carbon County. He was trying to save friends he had worked with. Brandon was the first of three rescuers discovered from the drilling cave-in. Six additional rescuers were injured. Due to the instability of the area, underground tunneling search efforts were abandoned after the rescue cave-in, but a fifth and a sixth bore hole were drilled to test for air quality and drop video cameras checking for any sign of the original six trapped men more than 1,500 feet below ground, to no avail.
