Was married to Thelma Canterbury Nov. 27, 1926. She died from tooth extraction June 18, 1938. Buried in Newhouse Cemetery, Sissonville. Later moved to Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
Delbert later was married to Sadie Lanham Hughart, who is buried beside Delbert.

Delbert Hughart, 85, of 1387 Grapevine Road, Sissonville, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1988, in General Division, CAMC, after a short illness. He was a Protestant. He was a private painting contractor and farmer.
Surviving: sons,Clyde Leonard of South Charleston, Robert L. of Plano, Texas, Loren E. "Eddie" of Kunkletown, Pa.; sisters, Grace Lipscomb of Lakewood, Ohio, Pearl Miller of Belpre, Ohio, Ida Cobb, Grovie Stonestreet and Mamie Moss, of Charleston, Altha Shaffer of Pocatalico; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Long-Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico, is in charge of arrangements.
