Christian and wife and daughter immigrated to buffalo N.Y. in 1888, Then about turn of the century they bought a farm on Lower East Hill Rd in Boston N.Y. He farmed till the death of his wife in 1935. On Oct 25 1918 they lost their daughter Ida during the flu epidemic. He and his wife Julie help raise their five grandchildren, Jerry, Doris Harold, Walter and Bea Maron. After the death of his wife in 1935 , Christian sold the farm and lived with his son George for a time, then Otto Schwandt, in 1940 he moved to the home of his granddaughter Doris Haas and her husband Erwin , he lived there till his death in 1947 in Orchard Park N.Y
