She was born in Sheboygan on June 29, 1914, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Cvetan) Abstetar.
Martin Jacquette Jr. and Ann Abstetar were united in marriage on Sept. 30, 1933 at St. peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Together, the couple owned and operated Marty’s Bar on Indiana Ave. at Eighth St. for many years. Martin preceded her in death in 1973. Ann was a former member of the MACCW, Catholic Womens Charity Club, Red Cross Blood Bank, Christmas Service Club and the Sheboygan County Homemakers. She was a dedicated member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.
Surviving Ann is a son, Martin J. III (Joan) of Sheboygan; two granddaughters, Lora (Marc) Baier of Mt. Calvary and Mary (Brian) Jacquette-Mentink of Oostburg; a grandson, Pierre Jacquette of Sheboygan; and two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Kate Baier. She is also survived by a brother, William (Helen) Abstetar and a sister, Margie (Dan) Baumann, both of Sheboygan; four sisters-in-law, Mary Abstetar of Sheboygan, Alice Abstetar of Florida, Mardell Abstetar of Plymouth, and Marie Grams of Sheboygan; her special friend, Marge Savinski, and special friend and neighbor, Ron Hartmann, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marianne and Maribeth Jacquette; four brothers, Rudy, Stanley, Frank, and Father Edward Abstetar, C.S.C.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ann on Saturday, March 23, 2002 at NOON at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1444 S. 11th St., Sheboygan. The Rev. Brian Szysko, pastor, will be celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at St. Peter Claver on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to charity of choice in the name of Ann M. Jacquette.
Funeral arrangements are being directed by the Zimmer Funeral Home of Sheboygan.
