MRS. ANNA CARROLL REAUME DIES IN ILLINOIS ST. HOME.
LIVED HERE FOR MANY YEARS
Mrs. Anna Carroll Reaume, age sixty-two years, died in her home, 1821 North Illinois street, this morning after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late John A. Reaume, merchant and capitalist, who died fourteen years ago.
Mrs. Reaume was born in County Clare, Ireland, and came to this country with her parents when a child. After a brief residence in Cincinnati tha family moved to Indianapolis. In 1865 the then Miss Carroll was married to John A. Reaume at St. John's cathedral, the late Bishop St. Palais being the officiating clergyman. Mr. and Mrs. Reaume lived for a short time at the old Bates House and then bought property at what is now Nineteenth and Illinois streets, then considered far removed from tha center of town life. They continued to live in the house throughout their lives, Mrs. Reaume passing away today in the same house that received her as a bride back in the sixties. Three children survive. They are Frank Reaume of New Orleans; Mrs. Mary Drum, wife of Capt. Hugh A. Drum of the Twenty-third Infantry, now at Zambononga, Phillipine islands, and Miss Anna Reaume, of this city.
