Kirkland Home Entered.
Forcing the lock on the window of the home of Mrs. J. D. Morris of Wichita, Kan., at Kirkland, thieves entered the house Wednesday last [May 20] and stole household goods valued at over $500. The theft was not reported to Sheriff George until Saturday.
The home is occupied only during weekends in the summer and then by Mrs. A. L. Eberhart, of Chicago, daughter of Mrs. Morris. The robbery was discovered by Mrs. Eberhart when she entered the house Saturday.
Every nook and corner in the house was searched thoroughly by the robbers who in doing so completely ransacked the home. The thieves, however, found no money or silverware for none was kept in the house by the owners. One large dining room rug, valued at over $100 was taken, a hall rug worth $25, six pairs of woolen blankets, valued at $50, table linen worth $75 and bed linens valued at $75 were also stolen. A neighbor heard a car drive up to the home Wednesday night but thought nothing of it until he heard of the robbery. The house is situated in the village of Kirkland.

This is the last record of her life. Her death is not recorded in Kansas or Illinois.
