Abraham Evans
Abraham Evans, 96, 997 N. King St., Hampton, died Tuesday in Hampton Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Ware Neck, Gloucester County, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Hampton and Pastor's Aid Club of the church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella V. Evans; a daughter, Matilda E. Evans of Hampton; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Nash, Miss Mary H. Evans and Miss Grace L. Evans, all of Gloucester County; two brothers, Eugene Evans of Gloucester County and Hezekiah C. Evans of Hampton, and a grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 1:15 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Seymour J. Gaines.
Burial will be in Pleasant Shade Cemetery.
