Fred W. Schwarztrauber, 84, of Montrose, PA passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020. He was born on July 26, 1935 in Carbondale, PA to the late Ralph William Schwarztrauber and Beatrice Emeline Letzic Bianco.

Fred is survived by his children, George (Heidi) Schwarztrauber, Vestal, NY, Dawne (Louis) Henry, Montrose, PA, John (Laurie) Schwarztrauber, Hop Bottom, PA, Paul (Kim McCain) Schwarztrauber, Springville, PA, April L. Harvey, Montrose, PA, and Keli J. Goff of Susquehanna, PA; siblings, Harry Porter, Walter Schwarztrauber, Peter Bianco, and Patty Kerzic; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Joan L. Wagner Schwarztrauber and siblings, William Porter, Ralph Schwarztrauber, and Ruth Schroeder.

One of the proudest things Fred did in his life was serve our country for four years as an Airman 2nd Class for the USAF. He loved this country and everything it stands for. He was a professional painter and had been in the painting business since 1963. He served the Lord and was a member of the Watson Hill Bible Church for the past 35 years. He was Treasurer for over 25 years as well as a Trustee of the church for several years. He was also quite the handyman doing carpentry, plumbing and electrical work for anyone in need. He had a very giving heart and loved helping people.

Fred will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Lake View Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at a later time. Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home in Montrose, PA is in charge of local services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Watson Hill Bible Church, 3878 SR 492, New Milford, PA 18834.
