Alexander, Firmin L. "Ace" 3/29/1926 – 8/23/2007 age 81, of Apple Valley, died on August 23, 2007. Preceded in death by beloved daughter, Joan. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Janet (Maeurer); children, Mark (Lynda Henes), Mary Ronnebaum, Ellen (Peter) Young, John (Karla), Joe (Sarah), Bill (Jennifer), Mike (Joycelyn Fannon), Bob (Kris); grandchildren, Gretchen, Ryan, Kevin, Philip, Jaclyn, Shannon, John, Mackenzie, Michael, Max, Murphy, Riley, Rudy, Georgia, Marshall, and Benjamin; great granddaughters, Lindsay, Kiley, and Lily; brother, James Alexander; sisters, Jean Klein, Sally Bratulich, and Katie VanNess. School teacher/administrator for 30 years in the St. Paul Public High Schools. 1944 Graduate of Cretin High School. St. Thomas College alumnus. Many civic activities: MN State Zoo Board, Republican Party. Active member of St. John Neumann—attended daily mass. Firmin took great pride in his large extended family—his family is his legacy. He will be remembered for his love of tennis and golf, and as the editor of the "Family Connection", he never missed an opportunity to discuss politics and current events. He led an exemplary life and always preached, "…like people, eat well, and pray often". We will miss you Dad. Visitation 9AM – 11AM Monday August 27 at the CHURCH OF ST. JOHN NEUMANN, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd., Eagan, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. John Neumann or Cretin High School.
