Christopher Taylor, age 25 years, was enumerated July 10, 1860, at Rouge River, Curry County, Oregon, with John Taylor 30.

Christopher Taylor, age 23 years, enrolled and mustered-in as private of Captain George W. Ousley’s Company B, 1st Battalion of Mountaineers, California Volunteers, at Fort Humboldt, Humboldt County, California, April 27, 1863. Private Taylor mustered-out at Camp Curtis, Arcata, Humboldt County, May 18, 1865.

Christopher Taylor, age 30 years, was enumerated August 16, 1870, at Josephine County, Oregon. Christopher Taylor, age 76 years, was enumerated during April 1910 at Cheshire, Lane County, Oregon, with Dillwood Taylor 77 Brother. The enumeration shows that Christopher was a widower and that he was a survivor of the Union Army. DIED FROM EFFECTS OF FIGHTING FIRE. Christopher Taylor, Old Resident of Hale, Succumbs to Pneumonia. Christopher Taylor, an old resident of Hale, died at the Eugene hospital this morning at 9 o'clock from pneumonia. He was aged 78 years and was single. Mr. Taylor lived in the coast mountains, where the forest fires raged so fiercely some time ago. He was one of the many residents of that section who fought so hard to save their homes, and becoming overheated, he cooled off suddenly one day and was taken down immediately with pneumonia, from which he died. The funeral will be held Sunday and the remains will be interred in the cemetery between Elmira and Hale. (The Eugene Guard [Eugene, OR], 09 September 1910, 1:2)
