John Lewis Gregory (January 26, 1937 – July 6, 2020)

John Lewis Gregory, 83, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020.
The  family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. noon.
Both services will be held at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
John was born on Tuesday, January 26, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a much-loved son, brother, father, uncle, and great friend to many.
John was a star football player at Northside High School in Fort Worth. He won the 1954 Thom McAn Trophy for most valuable player in Fort Worth. He also won a football scholarship to TCU.
John had a 30+ year career in data processing with General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, and Ken Davis Industries.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe C. Gregory and Elizabeth Gregory.
John is survived by his daughters, Melony Cartwright (Brian McDaniel) of North Richland Hills, and Melinda DeCastro of San Antonio; grandson, Chase DeCastro of San Antonio; sisters, Alice Hunter of Haltom City, and Elizabeth "Babe" Harlow of Graham; numerous nieces, nephews, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made in John's name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate.
