Somersworth - Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Martin's church for Harry Gagnon, well known local resident who died earlier last week at his hoe on Grove street, following a long period of failing health.
Rev. Rene Morrissette of Montreal, P. Q., a nephew of Mr. Gagnon officiated at the solemn High Mass of requiem assisted by Rev. Jean Paul Fleurent, another nephew, also of Montreal as deacon and Rev. Leo Lefebvre of St. Martin's as sub-deacon with murder by the music by the church choir and Laurier Sans-Cantier at the organ.
Serving as bearers were Alfred, Lucin and Raymond Daigle, and Omer T. DeRoy. Interment was in the family lot at Mount Calvary cemetery with Rev. Morrissette, Rev. Fleurent and Rev. Leo Lefebvre assisting in the committal service and arrangements were under the direction of the Raymond A. Roberge Funeral home.
