Jimmie Dale Barnes, 72, of Gore, Oklahoma died on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 15, 1948 to John and Nellie (Ingram) Barnes in Calvin, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Donna Jones, June 10, 1966 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and they shared of 54 years of marriage and many happy memories together. Jim worked at Georgia-Pacific for many years as an instrumentation and electrician man until his retirement. He was loved by many and will be greatly miss by everyone who knew and loved him. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Barnes; his son, Jimmie Barnes, Jr. 'Jay;' and his sister, Carolyn Barnes. He was survived by his loving wife Donna Barnes of the home; daughters, Cheryl Raynor and husband Matt of Houston, Texas, and Angela Bell of Muskogee, Oklahoma; grandsons, Jonathan Barnes and wife Katlin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nicholas Barnes and wife Allyssa of Ingleside, Texas, Danial Miller of Ingleside, and Lane Bell of Muskogee; granddaughter, Lacey Bell Muskogee; great-grandsons, Jaxon, Maverick and Kamdyn Barnes, all of Tulsa, and Kayden Barnes of Ingleside; great-granddaughter, AJ Griffin of Ingleside; brother, Orvil Barnes and wife Glenda of Christie, Oklahoma, JR Barnes and wife Betty of Gore, David Barnes of Keys, Oklahoma, Tom Barnes of Gore, Michael Barnes and wife Joyce of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and Robert Barnes and wife Janice of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; sisters, Geneva Ray and husband Charlie of Gore, and Carla Duvall and husband Dan of Gore; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 14 July, at Keefeton Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Danny Barks officiating. Interment followed at White Cemetery, with Jonahan Barnes, Nicholas Barnes, Danial Miller, Lane Bell, Matt Raynor, and Tex Ferguson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Schroder, Troy Bell, Darrell Corser and James Anthony. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
