Katherine Katie Mackless Mahoney (1873-1901) was the daughter of Herman Mackless and Katherine Mahoney Mackless. She resided in Newport, Ky and married Jeremiah "Jerry" Mahoney ( 1870-1936) on May 5, 1897. They had three children: Marion (1897-1980), Helen Mahoney (1898-1947) married William Paff; and James (1900-1972). She died at the young age of 28 of TB in Newport, Ky.
Kate is buried in an unmarked grave along side of her parents Herman and Katherine (Mahoney) Mackless and her sisters Anna Mackless Brauch and Anna's daughter, Mary C Brauch Fox and her other sister Mary Mackless Bogart's babies who died in infancy. According to St. Stephen Burial Records, Grave 1 contains Anna Mackless Brauch *and* her sister Mary Mackless Bogart's 6 mo. old baby, Helen Bogart (1 Feb 1918-19 Aug 1918). Grave 2 contains Mary C. Brauch Fox (daughter of Anna Brauch) *and* Mary Mackless Bogart's 6 mo. old babies Evelyn & Catherine Bogart (birth & death dates not recorded by cemetery) * as well as* Mary Mackless Bogart's 6 mo. old baby Hester Bogart (7 April 1919-16 Oct 1919).
