Jerry Dalrymple Dye, 84, went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 1, 2020. Originally from Weirton, WV, she has resided in Cleveland, TN for the last 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Kathleen “Dottie” Dalrymple. She earned her RN degree at West Virginia University and was a longtime nurse for Dr. Joseph McCoin of Cleveland. Afterward, she worked in Home Health and Hospice nursing. She was an active member, teacher, and youth missions leader at First United Methodist Church, as well as in the Cleveland Emmaus program. But we who know her heart know that her proudest accomplishment is this:

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Thomas Dye; twin sister Joan (John) Nicodemus of Bridgeport, OH; brother William “Bud” (Susan) Dalrymple of Weirton, WV; brother Doug (Rebecca) Dalrymple of Jasper, TN; sister-in-law Avis (Ed) Wilson, originally of Weirton, WV; nieces Debbie (Terry) Schuster, Kelly Grace (Thomas) Coffman, Haley (Joe) Tofte, Deanna (Mike) McMillian; nephews, Greg (Connie) Nicodemus, Scott (Carol) Dalrymple, Chris (Theresa) Dalrymple, David (Christine) Dalrymple, Byron (Terri) Wilson; daughters Leslie Hill, Jill (Rick) Rybak and Lara (Todd) Davidson, all of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren Jake (Piper) Hill, Adam Hill, Brynn Rybak, Tucker Rybak, Kyle Davidson, Kara Davidson; and six great-grandchildren. For the safety of all, there will be a family only service celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or First United Methodist Church, 3425 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN 37312. Those of us who have a Proverbs 31 woman in our lives speak a common language. We understand what a rare and wonderful thing we have; especially when they are your wife, your mother, your friend.
