WILLIAM "BUD" H. DALRYMPLE, 81 of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday December 12, 2020 at Weirton Medical Center.

He was born January 13, 1939 in Glendale, WV, the son of the late Herman James Dalrymple and Kathleen "Dottie" Games Dalrymple. He was also preceded in death by twin sisters, Jerry Dye and Joan Nicodemus.

Bud was an active member of First United Methodist Church where he served as chair of several committees and outreach ministries. He was an adult Sunday school teacher and church wide Bible studies. He also served on district and conference positions. His community service was serving on the City of Weirton planning board. He was instrumental in the mission of the Sexual Assault Help Center as interim director, president of the board, and board member. He retired from Weirtec, Weirton Steel Corp. as Product Manager-Product Application. He was a member of the American Steel Industry where he holds many patents and the co-patent for the Open End Container that is used throughout the world.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Susan Jo Hendrickson Dalrymple; sons, Scott Lee Dalrymple (Carol) of Rochester, NY, Christopher James Dalrymple (Theresa) of Langeloth, PA, David William Dalrymple (Christine) of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Paige Renee Dalrymple, Madison Joy Dalrymple, Ross Hickman (Justina); great grandchildren, Rowan and Gianna; brother, Douglas Dalrymple (Rebecca) of Jasper, TN.

Private family visitation and service will be held at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Weirton, WV with Pastor Carol McKay presiding. Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
