Mrs. Alice Hawkins Adams
Mrs. Alice Hawkins Adams, 68, died Wednesday, December 8, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Meridian. She was the widow of the late Marion W. Adams.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. K. E. Melton of Winona; four sons, Edward L. Adams of Long Beach, Dr. Bobby Adams of Meridian, Wayne Adams of Clarksdale and Rev. Marion L. Adams of Amory; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Adams of Winona, Mrs. Jessie Wootton of Winona and Mrs. Dorothy King of Ocean Springs; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. M. Hull at Winona First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Ron Adams, Ed Adams, Jr., Kenneth E. Melton, Jr., Tim Adams, Jimmy Hawkins, Gerald Hawkins.
