Beneath this marble rest entombed the mortal remains of Agnes Ewing Perry. Daughter of Benjamin and Jane Bolton Perry. Born in St. Paul's Parish, S.C. January 6, 1831, died in Richmond Co., GA. October 5, 1848. Aged seventeen years and nine months. Earth lost a beauteous flower Heaven gained a brilliant star. In commemoration of her many virtues this tablet is erected by her only surviving brother, who devotedly attached to her during life, cherishes the fond hope of being re-united to her in those realms of bliss where tears are wiped from every eye and sorrow is unknown. p. 284.
