The 1900 US Census shows he was single and living as a "boarder" in the home of a Mollie Able in St. Louis, Missouri.
The 1905 New York Census shows he is a "lodger" in the home of a May Hollie in Manhatten.
The 1930 US Census Shows Oscar is still living in Manhattan with Dorothea and their daughter Sarah.
The 1940 US Census shows he is still married to Dorothea (recorded as Dorothy B. Armes), working as a newspaper reporter and has a 29 year old daughter named Sarah B. Armes living with them who by profession is an actress. The family resided at 145 East 52nd St, New York, New York.
His WWII Draft Registration card shows he and Dorothea were living in New York City at 145 East 53rd Street. He was employed at the New York Journal American, a newspaper published from 1937 to 1966. Oscar was described as having hazel colored eyes and gray hair with a ruddy complexion. He stood 5'10 1/2" and weighed 144 pounds.
