Wilbur D. Losey, 51, of Milwaukee, a former Town of Charlestown resident, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital, Milwaukee, following a lengthy illness.
Born in the town of Charlestown on March 31, 1923, he was a son of Mrs. Harriet Bancroft Losey and the late Howard Losey.
A bachelor, Mr. Losey operated a shoe shine business in Chilton for several years before moving to Milwaukee in 1945. He served with the Merchant Marines in 1933-34.
Survivors include his mother of Milwaukee; six brothers, Floyd of Brown Deer, Arthur of West Allis, DeWayne of Seattle, Washington; Leon of Sheboygan, Gordon of Milwaukee and Ralph of Franklin, and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Duga of Milwaukee and Mrs. Norbert Dettloff of Menomonee Falls.
Funeral services were held at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, the Rev. Quentin Moeschberger, pastor of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton, officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, town of Charlestown.
