Mrs. T. A. Cross, of Starkville, and formerly of this city, died suddenly with heart attack on February 7.
Mrs. Cross was brought to Winona immediately after her death on Monday morning and remained in the Trewolla Funeral Home until Saturday, February 12. Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Saturday morning at the First Baptist Church with Trewolla Undertaking in charge. She then laid to rest in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Cross lived in Winona for a number of years, but they have recently been living in Starkville where Mr. Cross was employed.
The deceased is survived by her husband and one daughter,
Mrs. Billy Sykes of California, four brothers, Allen Garner and Elbert Garner of Vaiden, William Garner of Jackson, Lawson Garner of Winona, two sisters, Mrs. Cliff Bonds of Poplar Creek and Miss Nellie Garner of Jackson; also, a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives who will miss her.
Her daughter, Mrs. Billy Sykes, and husband have returned to California, where he is in the Army.
