Mary was born in the Austria-Hungary area on March 7, 1866. Her last name was probably Kusda, or possibly Kusea or Crusda. Minneapolis records have been searched for her marriage to John Harhay, around 1890, but nothing has been found. Some census records, in 1900 & 1910, have been found, indicating she immigrated to America around 1889 or 1890, but nothing else except her death record, on December 16, 1931. John and Mary had five children while living in the area of Minneapolis known as "Bohemian Flats", near the Mississippi River, north of Franklin Avenue. Mary was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
