BECKLEY-A jobless Raleigh County machinist was found deat of a gunshot wound Sunday in the front yard of his home at nearby Shady Spring.
Beckley police identified the man as Richard Ferris Plumley, 39, and said the wound was self-inflicted.
A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Grand Lodge of the International Asso. of Machinist in Washington, D.C., and the New Salem Baptist Church at Abraham.
SURVIVING are a son, Darrell of Chicago; three daughters, Elizabeth, Dreama and Cheryl, all of Chicago; his mother, Mrs. Mary Goodson Plumley of Shady Spring; two brothers, Grover of Fayetteville and Delbert of Shady Spring; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bragg of Shady Spring, Mrs. Ora Ervine of Handley, Mrs. Zella Adkins of Abraham and Mrs. Ocie Wright of Helen.
The body is in Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home at Beckley.
