Mrs. Martha Ellen Goodson, 68, of New, Raleigh County, passed away at her home Thursday.
Surviving are her husband, George F. Goodson, New; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Redden, Notomine; Mrs. Howard Bennett, Ghent; Mrs. Martha Plumley, New; seven sons, Millard and Della Goodson, both of Ameagle; Paris and George F. Goodson, Jr., both of Moundsville; Elmer Goodson, Bellwood; Johnny Goodson, Shady Spring; Clarence Goodson, New; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Plumley, Moundsville; Mrs. Izora Bennett, Pluto; Mrs. Rosetta Garten, Meadow Creek; and two brothers, Ikey Plumley and Jacob Plumley, both of New.
Also surviving are 38 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the New Salem Church at Abraham with Rev. C. W. Pindar of Colcord officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery. The body was removed from the Valley Funeral Home of Whitesville to the residence yesterday afternoon.
