George Goodson Dies At Beaver
George Floyd Goodson, 80, of Beaver, died at the home of a brother, Ollie Goodson, Beaver, at 8:35 p.m. yesterday after an illness of several months.
He was born in Franklin County, Va., Oct. 24, 1875. His parents were the late John and Mary Hollins Goodson.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer.
Surviving in addition to his brother is a sister, Mrs. Mary Plumley of Abraham; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Bennett, Shady Spring, Mrs. Birtie Plumley, Abraham, and Mrs. Mae Redden, Cabin Creek; six sons, Clarence and Dellie, both of Abraham, Elmer of Bellwood, Millard of Dorothy, Paris of Cabin Creek, and John of Pittsburgh, Pa.
The body is at the Rose and Quensenberry Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
