She is survived by two sons, John Wilson, St. Joseph, and Ben Wilson, Culver, Kansas; six daughters, Annie and Ellen, Lincoln Center, Kansas; Mamie, Flagler, Colorado, and Laura, Marie and Sarah, St. Joseph; and a brother, George Seifert, Denver, Colorado. The body is at Clark's mortuary pending funeral arrangements."

Mariah Seifert and George Wilson were married August 27, 1885, in Marysville, Kansas. Mariah was granted a divorce from George Wilson on June 19, 1919, on the grounds of indignities. At the time of the divorce they were the parents of ten living children, and all but two were of age. She was given custody of the minor children on the condition that she support them without expense to the defendant. According to Federal censuses, they might have had twelve children altogether. The 1900 census documented that they had had 9 children, with 8 living. Three children were born after 1900. In 1912, when the divorce was initiated, there were 11 living children. Also according to Federal censuses, the birth place of her father was Germany, and the birth place of her mother was Germany.
According to Mariah Wilson's death certificate, the cause of death was Lobar Pneumonia with Exposure as the contributing factor. The informant was Sarah Wilson, her daughter and administratrix of her estate.
She is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph, Missouri. Her grave was revealed after removing the dirt and crabgrass that covered it.
