Before her husband's death in 1906, Maria and George had lived in Colorado. After her husband's death, she lived with Dora (Mrs. Sam) Wilson and her family in Marshall County, Kansas.

Marker is made of concrete with many small pebbles in it. Delicate and deteriorating. Located at the top of the hill in the St. Augustine section. Name is spelled incorrectly. Her daughter, Mariah, is buried halfway down the same hill.
