Acey Allen served in Company E., 365th U.S. Infantry in World War One. He enlisted on Oct 28, 1917 and went to France in July 1918 as part of the 92nd Division. The regiment took park in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He was Honorably Discharged on March 19, 1919.

In the 1900 census of Chicago, Acey is listed as Asa a 4 year old residing with his parents Frank age 34 and Lulu age 28 with his sister Ethel age two and his cousins Annie and Jessie Jordon and Usher Allen.

When he registered for the draft in 1917 he stated he was born in Atlanta, GA on Jan 21, 1895 and that he was a 22 year old butcher employed by Swift & Co. at the Union Stock Yards in Chicago. He was single, supporting his mother, and was of medium height and build with dark brown eyes and black hair.

His death certificate states he died in Proviso Township, Cook Co., Il but was a resident of 5111 S. Wabash Ave in Chicago. He was the son of Frank Allen and Lulu Davis and husband of Lottie Allen, and that he was buried at Mount Glenwood Cemetery.
