Master cabinet maker, craftsman. He was one of a handful of Salem cabinet and furniture makers who produced stunningly crafted pieces of furniture, which today are museum pieces and sought by collectors. He was a partner in the firm of Kimball and Sargent with fellow artisan Winthrop Sargent. He was the son of Abraham and Mary Kimball.
