Nancy Reeves Dreux, a civic leader, died Sunday at Touro Infirmary Hospital. She was 77. Mrs. Dreux was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Louis S. McGee School and Newcomb College. She was the student body president of Newcomb College from 1934 to 1935, president of the Junior League of New Orleans, The Young Women's Christian Association, the Maison Hospitaliere, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association. She also was co-chairman of the 1962 WYES-TV and 1985 WLAE-TV auctions, registration chairman of the League of Women Voters in Jefferson Parish, and chairman of the Woman's Division of United Way at Jefferson Parish. She was active in civic and community affairs. She was a member of the board of directors of the Greater New Orleans Foundation from 1964 to 1988 and of the Women's Advisory Council, University of Notre Dame, from 1963 to 1990. She received the Junior League's Sustaining Member Award, the Volunteer Service Bureau's Volunteer of the Year Award, the Louise S. McGee School Alumnae Recognition Award. She was a member of the Orleans Club and the New Orleans Town Gardners.

Survivors include two nieces, Lynn R. Thayer and Dulaney D. Montgomery; and two nephews, Rogert D. Reeves and John Dart Jr. A Mass will be said today at 3 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 448 Metairie Road. A visitation will be held today after 1 p.m. at Bultman Funeral Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery.
