Artisan. He was a clockmaker and silversmith who partnered with George Foster in the firm Currier and Foster. His clock creations are difficult to find today, but command thousands of dollars at auction, and are held in institute collections, including the Peabody Essex Museum. He was a member and onetime president of the Salem Charitable Mechanic Association. He was the son of Dr. Edmund and Betsey Stanley (Alcock) Currier.
