Mark was the son of John and Nancy (Heaton) Warrell. Mark was born in 1850, shortly after Mark was born his mother died.
Mark’s family can tell the story better than I do, so please add anything I am missing.
Mark’s father John passed away about 1863. Mark was only 13 years old. I believe the Warrell children including Isaac, Caroline, and Sarah all headed west to Illinois. I found them in 1880 census in Illinois.
Mark met the love of his life, Susan Wilson. They were married October 22, 1871 in Christian County, Illinois.
From this union were 10 children.
John William, James Edward, Nancy A. , Flora Ellen, Isaac C. , Margaret Ann, Edith Bell, Frank, Albert Grover, and Susie Warrell.
In the 1880 census, Lenora Stephonson (Stephenson) , daughter of Caroline and Harlow Warrell Stephenson is living with Mark and Susan’s family. Caroline passed away, so Mark and Susan took Lenora in and helped raise her. That tells you what kind of family Mark came from. He was a very hard working, caring, and generous man who loved his family and the community he lived in.
