Clarence E. Gaddis, Sr., 75 of Logansport, IN, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2005 in Woodbridge Health Campus, following a 10-year battle with cancer. He was born June 16, 1930 in Otho, Iowa, the son of the late Glenndale Gaddis, Sr. and the late Ila Marie Chase Gaddis. He was married October 1, 1950 to Stella (Brown) in Logansport, Indiana. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He loved to plow any depth of snow and mow his 5 acres on his Wheel Horse. He retired as an Assembler from Chrysler in Kokomo in 1997. He had also been the co-owner of the Gaddis Health Food Store in Logansport. Surviving with his wife, Stella are one son, Clarence "Buck" (wife Anita June) E. Gaddis of Logansport, IN; Brother, Ronald (wife Sue) Gaddis of Logansport, IN; 3 Sisters, Helen (husband Leroy) Klueter of Edwardsville, IL, Phyllis (husband Wallace) Dibble of Logansport, IN, Juanita (husband Paul) Hurd of Logansport, IN; 2 Grandchildren, Angela Lynn McCracken and Kyndra Robertson; of Springfield, MO; and one great-grandchild, Jakob McCracken, Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Lynn Gaddis who died in 1977; and one brother Glenn "Dale" Gaddis.
Funeral Information
Friends will be received 4 to 8 PM , Wednesday, December 21 at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, Indiana. Services will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 10:00AM with Rev. Horace Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Ever Rest Memorial Park
